It just sounds bad. Very distorted. The more notes that you play, the worse it gets.

But it needs something, I like that its free and sort of a time-waster, to pass time with, but maybe more notes should be added Cause if you look at most kalimbas they have more notes than the one provided in this app

The bottom notes dont sound realistic at all. You can barely hear any note, and all the sounds are very distorted. Do not download.

I deleted of within seconds. Nothing but noise.

Some notes are out of tune

The D and the A (5th and 7th notes from the left) are exactly the same in both tunings. How can that be?

It is nice. The sound could be better but this is not the real kalimba and it is free! Dont think you can use this In the studio, just to get some fun.

A true African kalimba will have a slightly cleaner sound. A cheap American copy will sound like this. Plus the A note is the same as the D note. Its an ok app just needs to be fixed. The last update did clean up the sound but it still needs work. Review update: The latest release has fixed the A and D note being the same.

Good app and the price is right. Ability to change musical Keys is a good idea. Would like to see more Keys and a record function. Worth downloading

Im not sure what the difference between the two chords are, the notes are the same. There are too few notes to really play any music. I guess I have no idea how to play a kalimba, Ive never heard of one. I just love music and thought it would be cool, but I cant do a thing with it.

Now, a lot of people whine about free apps and I dont want to be a hater. So I wont. But, I was just kinda disappointed when I tried this app out. I was all excited because, I really cant afford a kalimba, so I was pretty jazzed to get access to a free one. Somehow, it feels boring. The sound doesnt sound like a real one, although it is close. I wish I liked it more. I havent deleted it yet.

This app fails without headphones for me, but it pwns with headphones!!!!!! You shoul get this but wearing headphones is recommended

As a professional percussionist with 4 CDs on iTunes, I can say that this app is pretty amazing while being free on top of it. Ive read the bad reveiws below, sad as they are written by people who say they know nothing about a kalimba.....shocking.. My advice is to go buy a real one for $75+. For to have this soothing instrument with me at all times is nothing short of amazing.

Owning three (kalimbas), This program is awesome, my birds, kids all like listening. You will enjoying playing with this app. User friendly..

So I downloaded this app because I love this instrument, and have two. It is pretty much the basic idea, but the sound could be better; perhaps an actual recording of the sound?
